YAKUZA

O que é Yakuza? ヤクザはなんですか?


Alguns dentre os vários personagens do cinema japonês são os mafiosos, os chamados yakuza ヤクザ (pronunciado Yakuzá), também conhecidos como Gokudō 極道 (ごくどう).
Yakuza (ヤクザ) é a máfia japonesa que está sempre envolvida em atividades como jogos proibidos, prostituição, tráfico de drogas e uma série de outros crimes.
Os membros da Yakuza (ヤクザ) têm como hábito cultivar grandes tatuagens pelo seu corpo, chamadas irezumi 入れ墨 (いれずみ). As tatuagens servem para provar coragem e fidelidade ao seu bando 組 (くみ) kumi.
O grupo teve sua origem no início do século XVIII, em centros urbanos como Ōsaka 大阪市 (おおさかし) e Edo 江戸 (えど), atualTōkyō 東京 (とうきょう).
Eram grupos de bakuto 博徒 (ばくと) e tekiya 的屋 (てきや) – biscates e vendedores ambulantes – que comercializavam mercadorias clandestinas nas ruas das grandes cidades. Com o passar do tempo, os Yakuza passaram a influenciar diversos segmentos da sociedade nipônica, como empresários, políticos, intelectuais, entre outros.
Os Yakuza criaram um conjunto de normas e regras baseados nas relações de fidelidade entre o oyabun 親分 (おやぶん) – padrinho – e okobun子分 (こぶん) – subordinado.
A iniciação no grupo é marcada por uma cerimônia que envolve bebersake 酒 (おさけ). Primeiro, uma pessoa enche os copos de sake do novo membro e de seu chefe. Ambos bebem um pouco e, em seguida, trocam os copos e bebem um pouco do sake do outro.

Organização e hierarquia:
A chave da hierarquia é baseada na forte relação entre o oyabun 親分 (おやぶん) e o kobun 子分 (こぶん). A organização dos clãs lembra uma organização familiar tradicional. Todos devem obediência e lealdade ao seu oyabun 親分 e, em troca, ganham conselhos, prestígio e proteção. O não-cumprimento das normas varia desde expulsão até tortura. Esta última é feita através do ritual doyubizume ゆびずめ, que consiste em cortar o dedo mindinho para proclamar arrependimento por uma falha. Há ainda casos em que um membro pode ter sua falange decepada como punição por traição.

Mulheres:
As mulheres ou 女 (おんな – onna) são totalmente marginalizadas no mundo Yakuza. Elas são consideradas fracas e débeis, incapazes de se igualarem aos homens 男 (おとこ – otoko). Mesmo as esposas dos membros do clã não passam de servas e, em alguns casos, são utilizadas como prostitutas do grupo. A única mulher que chega a ter um certo prestígio é a esposa do oyabun 親分.

Ideologia e preceitos:
Apesar de não estarem propriamente ligados a um ramo ideológico, a maioria dos Yakuza está ligada a ideologias e políticas nacionalistas. Algumas gangues chegam a possuir alianças com determinados políticos e partidos.

As principais obrigações seguidas por um Yakuza são:
Não esconder dinheiro do gangue;
Não se envolver pessoalmente com narcóticos;
Não procurar a lei ou a polícia;
Não violar a mulher ou os filhos de outro membro;
Não desobedecer às ordens de um superior.

Estrangeiros:
Mesmo com o ultra nacionalismo arraigado, os estrangeiros 外人 (がいじん– gaijn) possuem forte presença dentro da Yakuza. O grupo mais presente é o de coreanos 韓国人 (かんこくじん – kankokujin). Muitos destes são koreanos étnicos 韓国系日本人 (かんこくけいにほんじん – Kankokukei Nihonjin), isto é, pessoas que nasceram e vivem no Japão, mas têm origem coreana. Muitos têm cidadania japonesa.
Yakuza já atuou em diversas localidades do mundo, como Hawaii ハワイ (Hawai), Califórnia カリフォルニア (Kariforunia), Peru ペルー (Peruu) e México メキシコ (Mekishiko).

Principais “famílias”:
Estima-se que haja atualmente mais de 83.600 Yakuza no Japão, sendo que 68% pertencem aos três bandos mais poderosos: o 六代目山口組 (Rokudaime Yamaguchi-gumi), o 稲川会 (Inagawa-kai) e o住吉連合 (Sumiyoshi-rengo), às vezes conhecido como住吉会 (Sumiyoshi-kai). Um outro grupo conhecido é o東亜友愛事業組合 (Toua Yuai Jigyo Kumiai), algumas vezes chamado de 東亜会 (Tōa-kai).

Towa Yuai Jigyo Kumiai (東亜友愛事業組合), as vezes chamada de Towa-kai (東亜会)É a quarta maior família da Yakuza, tem mais de mil membros e é dividida em 6 clãs. Seu Oyabun atual é o Satoru Nomura. Foi a primeira Yakuza japonesa a ser criada na Coréia.Toua Yuai Jigyo Kumiai.svg


Perspectivas:
Parece não haver no Japão dos dias de hoje tanta tolerância com aYakuza, como ocorreu em outras épocas. Em 1992, o governo japonês aprovou uma lei para crimes cometidos por grupos mafiosos e gangues e fez com que seus membros e autores fossem responsabilizados pelos mesmos. Contudo, a forte aliança com empresários e determinados políticos, o grande volume de dinheiro gerado e a dificuldade de obedecer a um poder central, gera poucas dúvidas de que a Yakuza ainda exerça uma forte influência sobre a sociedade nipônica.
